Do you have something to say, but lack a Soapbox?
Cindy Sheehan’s Soapbox was started in January of 2009, because I felt that I still had many things to say, but very few outlets in the corporate media were willing to allow me to bring my message of peace and social justice to the public airwaves any longer.
Why? I don’t know for sure, but I premiered the Soapbox a few months after my run against then House Speaker Nancy Pelosi because I think perhaps the corporate media do not really want honest analysis of the system, just one-sided polemicizing and crass spectacle.
After five and one-half years of building a dedicated audience and refining Cindy Sheehan’s Soapbox, we are ready to unveil the Soapbox People’s Network to also give YOU a chance to jump up on the People’s Soapbox (like used to be done in town squares and on corners) and have a chance to give YOUR analysis of current events, culture, or, really, whatever; and this is a site where we will strive to be completely counter-establishment and not give into the fake-glamour of being fake-opposition like so many other sites.
We are already gathering Featured and Guest Bloggers, however, If YOU would like to contribute articles, videos, audio, or start your own podcast (besides Cindy Sheehan’s Soapbox we will soon be offering a new podcast called: The Wrong Kind of Green with Gregory Vickrey and Cory Morningstar), please contact me.
If YOU are already online with a presence, we would be honored to repost YOUR offerings, but if you are new, we will be happy to give you the tools to construct YOUR Soapbox.
We want to expand the Soapbox People’s Network to be an online breeding ground for the revolution we need to overthrow the evils of neoliberalism and war for Imperial greed.
