"Sunshine Patriotism" from Cindy Sheehan

"These are the times that try (wo)men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine (m)patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but (s)he that stands now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph."

Thomas Paine

May 2, 2009

Dear Friend,

It is so hard for me to ask for help.

My campaign for Congress against Nancy Pelosi may have been a naïve attempt to buck the fraudulent "two" party system and to get someone from SF8 in the House of Representatives that was actually from and for the people, but it was an honest attempt made with the best of intentions and the purest progressive platform from any of the candidates.

We did so many things right and I achieved ballot access against all of the odds, but the system is stacked against challengers or independent/3rd party candidates. If you don't have a trust fund, a political machine behind you or a wealthy husband, getting a place at our nation's political table is nearly impossible.

Since my son died, contrary to what people on the political right, or center have said, I have not done anything to benefit myself. I have not "used Casey's death" to enrich myself. Any money I received in insurance benefits from his death, or any money I earned from book fees or speaking engagements were almost all invested back into the movement for peace and justice, except for my minimal living expenses.

I find myself now in a financial jam along with many of you. During the campaign I went for about 9 months without a paycheck and my speaking agent dumped me because she was afraid of federal retribution. Campaigning is a full-time job, anyway, so a paying job is just not practical. I scrimped and used all of my savings and ran up my visa to the limit to be able to survive until I was able to be paid by the campaign beginning in August after I achieved ballot and oficial candidate status.

However, unbeknownst to me, I was supposed to stop getting a paycheck from the campaign as soon as the election happened (On November, as if the work ends on that day!) but my campaign committee kept paying me, now according to the FEC (Federal Elections Commission), I owe the campaign almost 10,000.00 or will be faced with civil/criminal penalties if I don't pay that money back.

I don't even have an extra 10.00 to give back to the campaign.

My book tour has been great at helping me pay my minimal personal expenses and I am still working really hard for peace and justice (I am writing from Madison, Wi, today). I have been working about 18 hours per day writing, traveling, speaking, doing clerical tasks, and trying to build the communities that we need to strengthen ourselves to be able to survive and thrive through these Robber Class nightmares

For the rest of the summer, I will be visiting about 24 more cities on my Myth America book tour and that tour is paying for itself from generous donations along the way. A seed was planted here in Madison yesterday to have some kind of mass protest in Dallas on August 6 (Hiroshima day and the first day I went to Crawford in 2005) to gather in front of the Bush's new place and try to "citizen's arrest" George Bush.

I cannot pay back the campaign myself, and I can't afford the fines the FEC will levy against me (am already dealing with a 10,000 fine levied against the campaign this week), nor do I want to go to Federal prison (for this), so I am reluctantly and with humility asking for your help. This nightmare has been personal, but the struggle is communal. Ironically, if I am able to pay the campaign back for my salary, which the FEC deems, "Personal use," I will be able to pay the 10,000 fine levied against the campaign.

I have given so much to this country, my son, my health, my money, my relationships, and I don't ask for much back.

Notwithstanding the exclusivity of the 18th Century language of the above quote from Thomas Paine, I am not a "Sunshine Patriot" and I am committed to doing everything in my capacity to fight for and with my fellow humans in this struggle to attain peace, justice, economic equality, environmental sustainability, and security for all, not just the Robber Class.

Independence from Banks Day: Cindy Sheehan's Statement at the End the Fed Rally in SF

Here we are again in front of the Federal Reserve today demanding that the Robber Class change its “evil ways.”

Thanks for coming out today, but chances that the Robber Class will shut down the Fed and coin money that is debt free and more egalitarian are slim to none; or fat to zero!

What we need to do is change our own systems.

Take your money away from the Robber Class as often and whenever possible.

Take your money out of banks and put it into good, democratic credit unions.

I propose that we start a movement today called: Independence from Banks Day on July 3rd, where we all go to banks, withdraw our money to make a statement to the Robber Class that we are going to start siphoning their wealth instead of the opposite way around. I am going to lead this and remove my business accounts from Bank of America that day. It may only be a symbolic gesture since the Robbers own the Federal Reserve, and we won’t bankrupt them, but if we have enough people we will make an impact and a profound statement. Put your money into Credit Unions that are democratic in leadership/policies and community based.

Sorry I can’t make it today, I am here in Arkansas fighting the Robber Class at every stop but I truly hope you join me on July 3rd to become Independent from Banks on July 3rd…if you don’t have any money in a bank, I would suggest you deposit some money just so you can take it out that day!

Together we can beat the Robber Class. Separately, we will fail.

We have that choice of sinking alone or swimming together, as for me, I prefer to swim.

Robber Class Myth 11: You, too, can be a Robber!

If you work hard enough and keep your “nose clean” you, too, can become part of the Robber Class.

I have already done 14 events for Myth America: 10 Greatest Myths of the Robber Class and the Case for Revolution and am on an airplane heading for Eureka Springs, Arkansas for my 15th tomorrow night. At each event there has been a very salient observation: One of the most insidious Myths of the Robber Class is the one where anyone can become part of the Robbers, because America is the “land of opportunity” and our streets are “paved with gold.”
It is true, some people have worked their way up from the Robbed Class to become a Robber, but that is rare and oftentimes, they’ve robbed and murdered to claw their way up to the Robber Class.

Of course the Robber Class wants us to worship and envy them so we do not rebel against them and their crimes but there are several things wrong with believing this Myth in the Robbed Class.

First of all, this Myth is simply, not true. Like I said, some people (Carnegie’s, Kennedy’s, etc) elevated themselves to the status of “Robber Class” by exploiting other people and committing outright crimes. However, immigrants who scrimped and saved and worked hard to escape the poverty and oppression of their countries came to America to find the same conditions only oftentimes worse. The American Dream was a nightmare of sweatshops, indentured servitude, child labor, and debt slavery to company stores. After a few generations, conditions may have improved and some moved up to the Robbed Class divides of Working Class or Lower-Middle Class or, even Middle Class, but few attained Robber Class status.

Secondly, the “if you work hard and keep your nose clean” concept says to each person that we do not deserve basic human rights, right now! That only if we attain Robber Class divinity, then we have the rights to good education for us and our children; good health care; healthy food; shelter and other basic human rights. Somehow by the accident of our births, we feel, wrongly, that we are not entitled to these things? Remember, Robbers are most often born to wealth and privilege or groomed from a young age to be used by the Robber Class.

Hello, fellow human being! Wake up! You are entitled to those things now! Why should we have to lose our homes while the Robber Class lives in mansions and is becoming wealthy off of the expansion AND contraction of the housing bubble?

Why should our children have to die in wars or go into lifelong debt to go to college?

Why should a busy working mother have to drive through McDonald’s for “Happy” Meals for her children because she can’t afford healthy, fresh food or the time to cook for her family?

We waste our time going to the Robber Class Politicians to demand such things as: more money for education (health care, housing, social programs, or whatever) and the RCPs tell us: “We don’t have any money.” However, if Goldman-Sachs or AIG goes to members of their own Robber Class and say: “We need money so we don’t have to lose any money paying for our own crimes/mistakes,” the Robber Class says: “How much do you need and will you take a check from the Federal Reserve?”

Thirdly, why would you want to be a Robber? You know what it’s like to struggle to make ends meet or to have good relationships and health! If a few are wealthy, then many are poor. I am not against wealth or comfort, but not when it comes at the expense, health or welfare of another Human Being.

You cannot, and should not want to, become a part of the Robber Class. We should all be comfortable and have access to good education, health care and other human rights without exploiting the labor and lives of others.

If we practice the suggestions at the end of my eBooklet that appear in Conclusion: Revolution, we will all become the Robin Hoods of our time: Stealing from the Robber Class to keep our resources and wealth in the Robbed Class---instead of the way it’s always been: stealing from the Robbed to give to the Robbers!

Order Myth America here.

"Hope"less in the "Two" Party System by Cindy Sheehan

Since November of 2006 when the Democrats regained majorities in both Houses of Congress, I began my gradual awakening to the fact that the “Two”-Party Robber Class political system is a fraud.

Nancy Pelosi ran for her Congressional seat in 2006 (which would for certain turn transform her into the House Speakership if the Dems became the majority) promising “No more blank checks for war.” She broke that promise, but kept her treasonous “impeachment is off the table” promise. What Nancy Pelosi really meant was the opposite: “I will give George Bush EVERY blank check for war that he asks of me! Why wouldn’t I? I am protecting him from accountability---billions of dollars for war is nothing!”

You have to understand, that Nancy Pelosi’s district is PRO-Impeachment and ANTI-war. If she refused to fund the wars and impeach George Bush, she would be following the will of her constituency. However, the "Two"-Party Robber Class political system protects and preserves itself no matter what party the criminal belongs to.

Now, after 89 days of an Obama administration that is also protecting the torturing murderers of BushCo and has broken its marginal promise to bring (some) troops home from Iraq by the end of 2011 and is escalating hostilities in Afghanistan and Pakistan, some so-called progressives are finally seeing the error in supporting Obama during the elections.

I left the Democratic Party in May of 2007 because of the continued war funding and the continued lack of accountability and I was roundly, thoroughly and viciously attacked by the same “progressives” who are beginning to doubt the “hope” that they bought into, or allowed themselves to be co-opted by. Some are even calling for an “independent third party” movement here in the US to challenge the corrupt two parties!

Really? Where were these “progressives” when I was running against the Queen of the Robber Class here in SF as an independent? Their heads were buried in the sand, or they were wearing the Rose Colored Glasses of denial and now we are mired in a situation that cannot be remedied: once the Genie is out of the bottle, she can’t be easily put back in. Do you think the Democrats will hold Obama to account, when they failed to hold Bush to account? I doubt it and we will continue to see the Obama-Summers-Geithner-
Bernanke collapse of the economy and the continued war crimes of the Obama-Clinton-Gates occupations for profit.

It’s way past time to stop giving the "Two" Party Robber Class system “a chance.” It’s time to stop the “inside” part of an “inside-outside” strategy. We have virtually nobody on the inside who will speak for us besides a token bone thrown out of those marble cesspools and we have to stand up for our class.

Warren Buffet, a famous Robber Class business man who loves to dabble in the Democratic part of the One-Robber Class party said: “It is a class war, and my class is winning.” They are only winning because we allow them to.

We have been beaten down for so long by the Robber Class we actually believe that we should send our sons and daughters to the Robber Class wars to die and kill other sons and daughters to make the Robber Class wealthier!

We actually believe that we are not entitled to the same health care that the Robbers in Congress receive (110%).

We actually believe that we should work our asses off and go into insurmountable debt to be able to send our children to college.

We actually believe that we are not entitled to our shacks while the Robbers have many mansions (so many, John McCain doesn’t even know how many he owns) that sit empty, except for servants most of the time. Some people don’t even have a roof over their heads and many tent cities are popping up over the country and the obscenity of a horrible homeless problem makes it difficult for me to sleep at night, knowing so many have no homes!

Now are you ready for an independent third party that is pro-worker; pro-peace; pro-the rule of law for everybody, especially the Robber Class; pro-environment; pro-prosperity for all; and above all Pro-Us?

Please order a copy of my new eBooklet: Myth America: 10 Greatest Myths of the Robber Class and the Case for Revolution today and let’s begin the Revolution today!

Cindy Sheehan's Soapbox today with Dr. Justin Frank

Today's special edition of the Soapbox features psychoanalyst, Dr. Justin Frank, who wrote a book called Bush on the Couch.

Justy and I will be chatting about the need to not only "reflect" (quote from Obama) on what happened and went horribly wrong during the Bush years, but on the need for justice before any healing or "moving forward" can occur.

The show will be available to download beginning at 2pm (Pacific) today; and then any time thereafter.

All of our old shows are archived there, too.

"Good" Friday? by Cindy Sheehan

“Good” Friday?
Cindy Sheehan

Five years ago on Good Friday, my family traveled to the loading dock of United Airlines in San Francisco to pick up our dear Casey at the airport for the final time.

Since Casey joined the Army in May of 2000, all of his trips home were greatly anticipated and the trips to the airport were always joy-filled. Every time I fly into Sacramento airport and go down the escalator near baggage claim I am reminded of the last time he came home as an upright, living being and I spotted him on that same escalator and the huge hug we gave each other. I can still feel his arms around me, squeezing me tightly. I hope I never forget that.

But five years ago, on “Good” Friday, the trip was not joyous. Our diminished family of five rode in the back of the mortuary’s limo with Casey’s maternal grandma, my mom, his auntie, my sister, and some close family friends. There was a car following us with more close family friends. Tears are running down my face just thinking about it.

When we arrived at the United Airlines loading dock, there was no honor guard, no respect for the soldier who was already being lauded as a “hero.” There were not even any chairs for our family to sit and wait. We literally had to sit on a curb to wait for Casey’s remains, which took at least 45 minutes. We had to wait for the one soldier that the Army sent who rode in the passenger compartment (of course) while Casey rode in the baggage area in his coffin covered by a cardboard box like he was a case of pineapples, or something.

Good Friday in the Christian tradition is when Jesus of Nazareth was executed by the evil empire of the time with the encouragement of the religious extremist government that ruled that part of the empire. The Jesus of the Christian scriptures was perceived as a threat to that power structure.

I was already a lapsing Catholic by the time Casey was killed on Palm Sunday in Iraq. But, in Catholic tradition, Good Friday is a very solemn occasion with meaningful symbolism: the tearing of the cloth in the temple, the closing of the tomb, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” While the congregation dutifully, and with mostly monotone boredom, intones: “Crucify him.” The implication there being that we are constantly crucifying Jesus with the sins and our sinful nature.

However, after Good Friday, we just have to wait one more day for Jesus to rise from the dead. It is like a movie that we watch once a year (Wizard of Oz comes to mind): we are scared when we see the flying monkeys, but we have the secret, tingling anticipation, because we know Dorothy will kill the Wicked Witch and she and her friends will have their fondest desires fulfilled.

Easter: The day of prettily decorated eggs, yummy candy, new clothes and accessories, mandatory church and Easter dinner. Being in the pretty church festooned with lillies and the priests wearing their finest albs with all of your friends wearing their Easter finest makes up for the monotony of Lent. Jesus’s disciples didn’t know he was going to rise from the dead, but we do and we are ready to party and begin to partake of what we "gave up" for Lent in an orgy of gorging.

Today five US soldiers were killed in Iraq and we won’t ever know for sure how many Iraqis were killed. The families of the US soldiers will never have a “normal” Easter again. All of their days will be filled with pain and longing, but holidays, birthdays and other anniversaries will be especially hard. My heart is breaking for the awful and pointless spiral of grief that these families are just embarking upon. Some may not yet know that it was their son, father, brother, uncle, or friend that was murdered today. I saw the report of Casey’s death on the news at least five hours before the Army notified us.

There is no joy-filled day to anticipate that will make up for the horror of the needless and senseless deaths of the people who still die with Obama’s continuation and escalation of BushCo’s illegal and immoral occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan.

I stupidly contributed to this Empire for my entire adult life and did not protest the wars before Casey was killed. I, like Pontius Pilate, have been trying to scrub the symbolic blood off of my hands since that day. Obama and the entire administration and Congress are continually adding to their blood drenched hands everyday that these occupations continue.

Easter is also a season of renewal.

Let’s renew our commitment to peace, no matter what Imperial Figurehead is occupying the Evil Office.

Seat of our Pants Tour by Cindy Sheehan

Between the time that I co-founded Gold Star Families for Peace (GSFP) in January 2005 and camped out in Crawford, Texas in August of that same year, I traveled extensively with my anti-war message.

I would go from town to town wherever I was invited and speak to small or medium crowds…rarely large.

My accommodations for those days ranged from sleeping on couches to having my own suite in a Rhode Island mansion.

I floated in the waters of Cape Cod with one of my on-the-road “moms” and swam in a pond with another in Mass; literally froze in Maine in January, then went back in July for much nicer weather. In Florida I had to sleep on a couch because the absent owner’s scary cat wouldn’t let me in the bedroom. Later on in that same Florida trip I got elbowed in the stomach by a St. Petersburg cop because I was getting to close to where George’s motorcade was going by on his way to a fund raiser with his base, the “haves and have mores.”

Everywhere I went I made friends but also heard the frustration of the people I spoke to. “What can we do to end the wars…yesterday if not sooner?” We would brainstorm and try to figure out something that would “spark” a movement for change.

I plugged away and rode on buses, trains, cars and airplanes, never staying in one place for more than two days. Every place I visited would take up a collection for me so I could move on to the next town.

After Camp Casey in Crawford, I lost most of the control over my travels and the activists scheduling me and the activists that I was being scheduled to visit started to guard me and my time because, truthfully, the international travel and meeting thousands of people was exhausting, but I missed so much of the personal relationships that I forged before camping out in Crawford. Many of those people joined me in the ditch next to Prairie Chapel Road.

In Crawford, we sparked the movement. No one can argue that we didn’t bring the lies and criminality of BushCo to the forefront and tens of thousands of people became anti-war activists after our Peace Camp, Bring Them Home Now Tour and our activities for peace that continued up until the Democrats regained control of both Houses of Congress.

Sadly, that was the goal of many of the groups that I worked with: Electing Democrats. That was NEVER my goal. My goal has not been accomplished. My immediate goal is still troops out of Iraq AND Afghanistan and my long-term goal is to peacefully throw off the chains of the Robber Class and to have a country/world that is peaceful AND secure; environmentally healthy WITH renewable, clean energy; prosperous AND with a fairer distribution of resources and wealth. As we have seen over the years, the politicians, no matter what party, do not want these things for We the People, so that’s what my new Internet Booklet and my new tour will address.

I am now very excited to hit the road again by myself, by the seat of my pants doing what I can to Rally the Robbed Class to become the Independent Class. To build upon existing friendships and organization and build new relationships and structures where needed.

I am calling it the Seat of OUR Pants, because like my Congressional Run and my Online Show, these movements must spring up organically from the literal grassroots to be effective and I need your help!

Myth America and the Soapbox are hitting the road!

Listen Online!

Cindy will be touring the country for the next several months holding book discussions on Myth America: The 10 Greatest Myths of the Robber Class and the Case for Revolution.

We have emailed out hundreds of books, and here are some of the comments:

"The myths are right on!" (Travis from Ft. Collins, Co);

"Your book reinforced my sanity, I am sharing it with others!" (Ken D.V.); "Cindy gets straight to the heart of a question faster than anyone else I know." David Swanson (www.AfterDowningStreet.org).

"I loved your book, but my favorite chapter was the one on elections." (Jon Gold, 9-11 Truth Movement).

Myth America is taking it on the road because we believe that we need to Rally the Robbed Class Revolution and build, or build on, relationships to peacefully throw off the oppressions of the Robber Class and learn how to demand Peace, Justice and Economic Equality and actually get them! We are energized to elevate ourselves from the Robbed Class to the Independent Class...one person, one family, one community at a time!

We are working on the schedule right now and this is a list of towns Myth America and Cindy are coming to:

New Mexico: Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Taos (April 18-22; confirmed);

Eureka Springs, Ar (April 23 confirmed);

Chicago (May 3 confirmed);

Ft. Collins, Co (May 5, tentative):

California tour: San Francisco, May 7th in Cindy for Congress Campaign office from 7-9 (Confirmed); San Diego, Santa Barbara and Monterey (May 9-13, tentative);

Texas: Dallas and Austin (June 7-13, tentative);

East Coast: (June 15-?) NYC (TBD); Washington, DC (TBD); Philly (TBD); Boston, (TBD); Tampa, (TBD).

Northwest: Seattle and Portland (TBD).

Hopefully, we can squeeze Minneapolis and Cleveland (we've been invited) in there somewhere. Any other suggestions are welcomed! Video or phone conferencing with Cindy are also possible for these discussion groups. Cindy is also very willing to speak at high schools or colleges on alternatives to joining the Military Industrial Complex or do panels on any Myth America subject with other activists.

Cindy will just be asking for donations to cover airfare (which is super- cheap right now) and is hoping to stay in the homes of fellow Revolutionaries along the way.

Most of the time, we will be taping our weekly editions of the Soapbox when we are on the road so we can increase the variety of voices from around the nation on our show.

If you would like to help Cindy organize any part of this tour, please email her at: Cindy@CindySheehansSoapbox.com.

"You're in the Army now, so shut the f&*k up!"

The Soapbox is downloadable beginning every Sunday 2 pacific

This week, we have another amazing edition of Cindy Sheehan's Soapbox!

Cindy chats with former Colonel Ann Wright, who served her country honorably for 29 years in the Army Reserve and has been serving her country even more honorably as an anti-war, pro-justice activist since she resigned her post in the Foreign Service after George Bush illegally and immorally invaded Iraq. Ann is one of the hardest workers in the Peace Activist and works with female vets and works for families whose daughters have been harmed by fellow soldiers and the US Military.

Sara Rich also joins us for this fascinating conversation. Sara is another super-mom who fought for her daughter Suzanne Swift after Suzanne, a soldier, had not only been sexually harassed, but raped by a superior while Suzanne was stationed in Iraq. Incredibly, after Suzanne complained, she somehow ended up court-martialed and in military jail, but her attackers have not served a minute.
Fully 1/3 of our female soldiers are raped/killed or physically abused in the military and 9 out of 10 report being sexually harassed. What a great reason NOT to join the military if you are a female...but also, do you want to be turned into a rapist or sexual predator if you are a male?

Cindy has found a new mission and passion in her anti-war work. Cindy realizes that we have very little affect on stopping the Robber Class wars, so what we have to do is stop our children from being killed, maimed, raped or kill innocent people in the Robber Class wars.

There will also be a speech on the show by Major General Smedley Butler on "War is a Racket" and other counter-military recruitment features.
RIP

Help Casey Sheehan Prevent others from joining the Military!

Dear Friend,

This Saturday, April 04, 2004, is not only the anniversary of the death of Martin Luther King, Jr, but also the 5th year since my son Casey was killed in Iraq. Please read an article that I wrote called 5 Years, here.

I have come to the conclusion, with the deaths in Afghanistan increasing and still continuing in Iraq (not just for our soldiers), and with protests at a bare minimum, the only way we can stop these Robber Class wars for profit is to put a complete halt to military recruitment. As Peace-Activist, Analyst, Ray McGovern said in my recent Soapbox interview of him, Afghanistan will become a "bloodbath."

Usually, I write to you to ask you to contribute to the Soapbox to keep it broadcasting, but today, I am asking you to contribute to other worthy causes in Casey's name.

The World Can't Wait is organizing for the last two months of school in high schools to send its We Are Not Your Soldiers tour into campuses to combat lies of recruiters and the Robber Class Military Industrial Complex. They need about $12,000.00 to do so. A small price to pay for peace. Please donate what you can to this very Noble Cause.

My friends, Peter Dudar and Sally Marr have taken their amazing and effective film, Arlington West into hundreds of schools and have literally convinced thousands of students not to join the military.

Courage to Resist helps soldiers who are already in the military to get out or resist deployment as conscientious objectors.

American Friends Service Committee has a lot of useful downloadable info on its website so you can talk to your children, young friends, or even strangers about the dangers of military life and the US Empire.

My new internet booklet, Myth America: 10 Greatest Myths of the Robber Class and the Case for Revolution has a compelling anti-military enlistment/recruitment chapter called: It is Noble to Die in Robber Class Wars. Read a review of the booklet by David Swanson here. You can still order your copy by making a minimum 10.00 donation to Cindy Sheehan's Soapbox, or by sending a check/money order to: Cindy Sheehan's Soapbox, 55 Chumasero STE 5D, San Francisco, Ca 94132.

I will miss and mourn my son forever, but I can't think of anything nobler that his sacrifice by the Robber Class can stand for, than using his death and our story to prevent others from being so misused. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, about one year before his assassination, began to speak out against militarism and wars and he made the connection between state violence and violence in the inner-cities so profoundly, yet 41 years later we still are battling all over the world and our planet's children pay the highest price.

If you do donate to one of the Noble Causes, please send me an email so I will know: Cindy@CindySheehansSoapbox.com. And don't forget that you can send me your Soapbox Rants and Ask Cindy? questions.

Our next show in the Soapbox will have former Colonel Ann Wright and Sara Rich talking about the abuses of females in the military and what we can do to stop them. Statistics say that fully 1/3 of the females in the Armed Forces will be sexually abused, harassed or raped by their fellow male soldiers.

Love always and peace soon,

Cindy

5 Years by Cindy Sheehan

This Saturday on April 04th, my son Casey (and at least 11 other Americans and hundreds of Iraqis) will have been dead for five years. Casey, a humvee mechanic, was killed on 04/04/04 in Sadr City, Baghdad in combat after he had been there for only five days.

Five years have passed in the blink of an eye, and besides missing Casey so much our lives have changed about as dramatically as they could have, as has life of our country.

We just passed the anniversary of the invasion of Iraq with very tepid opposition and President "Change You Can Believe In" is following the path in the Middle East that was blazed by his predecessor, George Bush. Obama’s surge in Afghanistan and on the Afghan/Pakistan border guaran-damn-tees that there will be many more “Caseys” and the people of Afghanistan should not be made subject to more “help” from The Empire.

I collaborated with Bay Area CODEPINK today to call for a protest of Obama’s Afghan Plan and (although an emergency prohibited me from attending) there were not so many people there and no press at all. To be sure, noon on Monday is not the best time, but when I sent out the Emergency Action alert, I was attacked vehemently.

One person wrote: “opposing such a thoughtful and smart President smacks of grandstanding” and another person wrote: “you want Obama to fail, shame on you.” You’re damn right that I want Obama to fail in killing more people and if Obama was so “thoughtful and smart” he would be withdrawing troops from Afghanistan before more of our troops and civilians are slaughtered and the US of A is crushed as have many other Empires crumbled that have tried to subdue the people of that region.

I, and my family made a horrible, horrible (understatement) mistake when Casey joined the military. I will regret until my last breath here on earth not running over him with the car the last time he was home before his deployment just enough to wound him so he couldn’t go to Iraq. Our mistake cost the life of a priceless and irreplaceable family member…Obama is making another mistake (for our class, not his) of historic proportions and I implore you who are reading this: DO NOT ALLOW YOUR SON/DAUGHTER; HUSBAND/WIFE; BROTHER/SISTER, friend or other relation to be killed by the Obama Administration. Dead is dead whether the occupant of the White House has an “R” or a “D” behind his name.

I am ashamed that I gave a son to the Robber Class War Machine, but I am not ashamed to oppose Obama on his foreign policy. Anyone who supports Obama’s adherence to BushCo’s scheme of “More War for More Profit” should be ashamed of him/herself.
I know how it feels to bury a child for the greed and unrepentant sins of The Empire. I also know how it feels to try and live ones life with an un-fillable vacuum and I will continue to do everything I can to oppose Obama’s foreign policy, with or without help and even though people who previously thought wars for profit were wrong until Obama became President attack me as passionately as Bush supporters did and still do.

Whether war supporter, or not: my heart goes out to everyone who has had a loved one killed in U.S. wars of aggression and as always, my heart and apologies go out to people in foreign lands who have unfortunately been born in the way of the trajectory of Empire.

As Martin Luther King, Jr, with whom Casey shares a death date with said: “The greatest purveyor of violence in the world today is my own government.”

Dr. King said this during the height of the Vietnam War and not one thing has “changed”…nothing has changed for the better, but things have become far worse. This was over 40 years ago.

No matter what we in the Robbed Classes do, we cannot make the Robber Class less ravenous for blood and coin, but we can change ourselves and quit allowing our children to be its cannon fodder and paid assassins.

Do it for Casey and his comrades who are unnecessarily dead. Make their deaths “Noble” by not allowing yourself or your child to become another corpse in just a long line of victims of the US of A.

For Casey: May 29, 1979 to April 04, 2004

Obama's Vietnam?

Cindy Sheehan's Soapbox

Internet Radio Show!

This is a photo of Ambassador Joe Wilson, Cindy Sheehan and Ray McGovern being sworn in by Congressman John Conyers before testifying at the Downing Street Minute's Hearing on June 16th, 2005. Who knew that on July 23rd, 2007, Cindy and Ray would be getting arrested in Conyers' Congressional office after he refused to impeach George Bush and Dick Cheney? Ray and Cindy were part of a contingent that day that delivered over one-million signatures on a petition for impeachment.

Ray McGovern will be a very special guest on Cindy Sheehan's Soapbox available beginning on Sunday, March 29th (2-3 PDST). Cindy and Ray will talk about (among other things) how surging more troops to Afghanistan, will possibly (or likely) be Obama's Vietnam.

"We're all in this together"
Cindy Sheehan

No we are not, that's the point.

Tonight, President Obama basically said that we can't demonize every investor who earns a profit, because "we are all in this together." Sorry, but I am going to have to call a big fat "bull-shit" on this one.

When Obama said "we" did he have a mouse in his pocket? Obama, and his family have a very opulent, slave-built roof over their heads. He travels on the public nickel, his children attend an exclusive Washington, DC private school that has organic food on its menu, and has health care that covers everyone in his family from head to toe and side to side and inside out.

Even though he and every member of the administration, Congress and the Supreme Court are not hurting for anything, the bastard (sorry if your parents weren't married when you were conceived) Wall Street banksters are receiving billions of dollars of government welfare and are not so good about being in "this together" with us.

The only concrete steps the Treasury and Fed have taken are to buy "toxic" assets (if something is toxic can it still be an asset?) so companies like Goldman Sachs (via AIG) can have the public tit rescue them from their stupider than crap mistakes.

WE the ROBBED Class are in this together. THEY the ROBBER Class are in it for themselves. How many times does Obama have to demonstrate that his economic recovery is nothing but Reaganomics wrapped in a little bit of populist rhetoric to make it easier for the mis-informed Robbed Class to swallow. If anything transpires to alleviate the suffering in our Class at all, it will be because some of the prosperity got through the cracks in the deeply cancerous system and trickled ON us. Rest assured, this is just a mistake and the only time the Robber Class cares about us, is when the interests of the two classes collide.

I will feel like I am "in this" with the Obamas when I have a free house, free health care and if my children would not have to go into lifelong debt to pay for university.

I wonder if the wall to wall homeless population (it's growing at an alarming rate) here in San Francisco feels "in this together" with the Wall Street Robbers?

I wonder if the people standing waiting for hours in municipal Emergency Rooms waiting to get some, any medical attention feel "in this together" with Congress which has 110% medical coverage?

I wonder if the foot soldiers for the Empire feel "in this together" with the War Profiteer Robbers?

I wonder if the victims of the drug wars and street wars feel "in this together" with the children of the Robbers who ride to their schools in limos with bodyguards?

I wonder if our brothers and sisters living in tent cities with their children feel "in this together" with the Pelosis and Feinsteins of the world who live in their obscenely huge mansions in exclusive neighborhoods and fly back and forth from DC in private jets that suck down gas at an immoral rate?

I wonder if our brothers and sisters who just cashed a final unemployment check feels "in this together" with the Robbers who just cashed millions in bonuses?

I, myself, feel "in this together" with the homeless, hungry, sick, jobless, struggling, stressed, frightened, confused, yet resilient, brave and strong.

WE are in this together. WE need to step outside of the Robber Class system and start to build our own systems to help each other through this Robber Class/Goldman Sachs/Federal Reserve depression.

Intro to Myth America by Cindy Sheehan

Introduction

“There’s class warfare, all right, but it’s my class, the rich class,
that’s making war, and we’re winning.”

Billionaire Robber, Warren Buffet.

“I call you my base: the Haves and the Have Mores”
George W. Bush

Since this country was founded, it has been governed, or controlled by the Robber Class. Some people call our “Lords,” the Ruling Class, the Oligarchy, the Kleptocracy, or Plutocracy. Some call our system Cronyism, a Democratic Tyranny, Soft-core Fascist State, or if you are a member of the Robber Class or Blinded Robbed Class, you call it a Democracy, or Republic.

Let me define the terms Robber Class and Robbed Class for the purposes of this Internet Booklet: The Robber Class consists of The Wealthy Ones (not all wealthy people are robbers!) of our society who have earned this wealth off the hard labor of others: not by doing an honest days work or being fair and just with their talents or employees, but by stealing the fruits of our labor through outright theft or economic or violent exploitation.

Almost everyone who is in one of the Three Branches (that are being usurped into one powerful Executive Branch) of our government, AND most people who call Finance, his/her business belongs in the Robber Class. Most definitely the Captains of the War Machine have top spots in the Robber Class: they even rob lives from us to gain their wealth!

Now, the rest of us (more or less) belong in the Robbed Class. We are the ones who send our children to die in the Robber Class Wars. We are the ones who lose our jobs and homes when the economic plans of the Robber Class go awry (or exactly as they have planned).

Our children join the military because, for we in the Robbed Class, Education is not a Right…it is prohibitively expensive and only a Privilege to the children of the Robber Class. Not only is Education a Privilege, but so are jobs that pay a living wage, not a minimum wage for We the Robbed!

You know who you are! If you have ever had to choose between medicine for a child or paying a bill, you belong in the Robbed Class. If you’ve ever born the ire of an employer because you’ve had to miss work because a child was ill, not because Nanny had the day off, then you are in the Robbed Class.

If you are living paycheck to skimpy paycheck while Wall Street Billionaires are getting more of your hard earned money to pay for their mistakes (get it? you are getting Robbed by the Robber Classes in the Government to bailout the Robbers in the banks), then you are part of the Robbed Class.

AIG, a Robber Class company, has been deemed “too big to fail” by a Congress whose members have been the recipients of AIG lobbying largesse to the tune of 9.7 million dollars last year alone. Many influential Congresspersons even own, or owned stock in AIG like Senator John Kerry and House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi. Is it any wonder that so far, the Federal Reserve has bailed out AIG to the tune of about 180 billion dollars?

Now the AIG executives who ran their company into the ground and are responsible for many failing mortgages, are receiving bonuses with the Federal bailout money! This is a Robber Class obscenity while many members of our class are losing their homes and jobs. Robbers rarely pay any penalty for their crimes! (Unless you fleece members of your own class as in Bernie Madoff, phew, talk about swift justice! The speed of his trial made my head spin!) And as a matter of fact, the Obama regime made certain that the execs would get their bonuses.

The sadness of the Robber Class control over our perceptions hit home to me during my campaign against Nancy Pelosi. We commissioned a poll and one of the questions we asked was, "If you knew your Congressional Representative was invested in, or took money from AIG, and then voted for AIG to receive 80 billion dollars in governmental bailouts, would that affect your vote for him/her?" Only 17% said "yes," and the interesting thing about that statistic is that's about the percentage of votes I received.

If you have to work (if you are lucky enough to have a job) many hours to pay Robber Baron, Uncle Sam, and get few benefits, then you are a Robbed One.

They are winning, my friend, only because we in the Robbed Class are co-conspirators in the Crimes of the Robber Class. At the very least, we are co-dependent.

Today I was listening to Thom Hartmann on Air America Radio. I love Thom Hartmann, he even wrote a forward to one of my books. I have read many of his books and have learned a lot from him. Many people listen to his show and feel the same way about him that I do. I love him even though he DID NOT support my run for Congress against Nancy Pelosi, or my leaving the Democratic Party.

However, today, Thom was talking about how he has a few complaints about the Obama regime so far, but he is going to support him no matter what, because in the words of Benjamin Franklin: “We all hang together, or we hang separately.” This is Robber Class hypocrisy as far as I am concerned. Thom did not have the same policy under the Bush administration. I guess he was willing to “hang separately” in those days. I'm glad Thom did not support the Bush administration, but in my opinion, he should not support the Obama administration “no matter what," either.

The Robber Class loves to divide us along arbitrary lines: Male/female; Republican/Democrat; White/Black/Brown; Protestant/Catholic/Jew/Muslim; North/South; but these divisions are malleable, even our skin color can be changed a la Michael Jackson! But seriously, skin color is only a surface issue; inside we are all the same!

The Robber Class knows that there really only exists one division in the world: Robber Class and Robbed Class. We in the Robbed Class have way more in common with each other than we do that separates us, or that we do with any member of The Robbers.

It’s time to break the sick relationship that we have with the Robber Class and do something about it! They can only rob us, if we allow them to. The first step, though, is recognizing that we are Robbed and acknowledge that this is not our collective fault, but the way the system is set up.

We the Many of the Robbed Class, do have a sick-symbiotic relationship with They the Few who make up the Robber Class. It doesn’t have to be that way if we organize to break free of this co-dependant relationship.

The Robber Class needs us way more than we need them and they know it, so they will use all of the tools at their disposal: the media, the military, the banking system, the “education system” and patriotic vitriol to keep the Robbed Class cowering, complacently obedient, but most of all, conveniently ignorant.

I am a member and now a warrior for the Robbed Class after having spent most of my life believing (not wholeheartedly, or even half-heartedly, but only semi-heartedly) in Robber Class myths.

My jolt of reality came on April 4, 2004, when my son, Casey, was killed in the Robber Class occupation of Iraq. After I fell to the floor screaming “no, no, no” in agony, I got up and began my gradual awakening to the truth, but an even more rapid rejection of the myths.

It will take nothing less than a Revolution to knock these bastards (I mean no disrespect to people whose parents were not married at conception) off of their perches and take back what belongs to us: the resources and wealth of this nation.

We can do it…read this Internet booklet to find out why we need to and how we can accomplish the boldest People’s Revolution ever!

This book is a short Pamphlet that is not designed to be comprehensive in scope, but a primer to the Myths. Each chapter could be volumes of books and indeed volumes are written about each subject without exposing them, however, as Myths of the Robber Class.

As an Internet Booklet, it is also designed to be a tool to organize grass-roots community around the solutions to the believing in, and being co-opted by, the Myths of the Robber Class. Again, it's one thing to reject the Myths, but an absolute different thing to start living in a system outside of those inherently crooked paradigms.

I want this book to be added to and amended and spread around so we can begin or enlarge the National conversations that needed to start many years ago, but even though time is growing short, it is still not too late to remake the Scarcity of Capitalism into the Plenty of Humanism.”

Our Shame by Cindy Sheehan

I remember sitting in my living room, six years ago, watching the “Leader of the Free World” announcing that the United States military had just embarked in “shock and awe” against the country of Iraq.

The images made me physically ill, as they had 12 years before when the criminal’s criminal father was bombarding Iraq.

I was also personally sick with fear as my family had “skin in the game,” our son/brother, Casey. On that night, Casey’s life clock starting ticking down: He had exactly one year and 15 days to live from “shocking and awful.”

Six years and over a million lives later, our military is still shamefully in Iraq. Our “Peace President” has created no positive change there and is in fact extending the length of the deployment of “combat troops.” The country has been ethnically cleansed. Violence is down because everyone there is either dead, displaced or too poor, wounded or frightened to move or continue fighting. Violence is down, but not out, and you can bet there will be a strong US military presence in Iraq until every last drop of oil has fallen into the hands of foreign oil companies.

What about Afghanistan? When will the “peace movement” begin to protest the anniversary (Oct. 7, 2001) of the invasion of that war-torn country? When will we begin saying “illegal and immoral” in connection with Afghanistan and start mourning the dead there? Maybe when US casualties begin to ratchet up as Obama surges US troop presence there? Obama is sending incursions farther and farther into Pakistan every day. From one “dumb war” to another “dumb war,” and the cycle of death will never end for we in the Robbed Class or the poor innocents of that region.

The economic collapse is a very worrisome and immediate problem to so many of us, but we need to remember that the Military Industrial Robber Class Complex is the reason we are in this current crisis and the economic costs of the occupations cannot and must not be separated from the human cost. Whose life clock is ticking away today? How can we allow yet another year to pass?

Every year I say that this will be our last…I don’t believe that anymore. I believe that a very few of us will be demonstrating against these “wars” for years and every year that goes by, fewer of us will be out.

It is our shame that we as a nation complacently sit by and allow the audacity of the atrocities of empire to continue in our names.

Our demands must be the same with the Obama regime as it was with the Bush regime: Troops home completely and immediately. Leave cowardice and compromise to the politicians: we in the movement must never compromise or sell out the values of peace with justice. Or if we have already sold-out, we must buy-back...we need everyone!

Many have already given up or have been co-opted by the Democratic Party or the false specter of “hope.” Most have never even protested other than bitching on blogs or yelling at the TV when Bush or Cheney came on spewing their lies (Cheney is still at it).

Some will never give up. Here’s to you! I honor your commitment to peace, no matter who is the current warmonger occupying the Evil Office (oops, I sorta meant “Oval Office”)

Hasta la victoria, siempre!

Myth America: The Robbers Stick it to us again!

Cindy Sheehan's Soapbox

Sunday's 2-3 (PDST)

First of all, my radio show will no longer be aired on Green 960. Last week's show with Cynthia McKinney is available to listen to from the website.

From now on, it will strictly be an internet radio show that will be available from my website every Sunday 2-3 (PDST) for podcast purposes then available from archives after that. More details to follow as they become available.

The show will still go on!

Myth America

Well, since I started my book: Myth America, the 10 Greatests Myths of the Robber Class and the Case for Revolution! the situation has become more obvious, with executives of AIG's failing company receiving millions in bonuses after it received billions more in taxpayer bailouts just last week.

Don't believe the false "outrage" of the members of the Robber Class, especially after you read this report from OpenSecrets.org:

Before the fall, AIG payouts went to Washington

During my campaign for Congress against Grande Dame of the Robber Class, Nancy Pelosi, we pointed out the fact that Mr. and Mrs. Pelosi owned $500,000 worth of stock in AIG, as the government was giving the company 80 billion in bailouts. Not very many people seemed too bothered by the obvious conflict of interest, but now it seems like the chickens are coming home to roost...too bad they land on our heads! To use another cliche: "Let them eat cake," does not seem to be such an abstract historical concept anymore, does it? The members of the AIG department who are getting these bonuses are laughing all the way to their banks while the unemployment and foreclosure rates skyrocket down here in the land of the Robbed Class.

What can WE do about it?

Happy International Woman's Day

Happy International Women’s Day
Cindy Sheehan

International Women's Day (IWD) is marked on March 8 every year. It is a major day of global celebration for the economic, political and social achievements of women.

My remarks to a gathering in Los Angeles celebrating IWD:

First of all, I would like to thank the organizers for inviting me and bringing me here to celebrate with you all. San Francisco is my home but Los Angeles is my hometown!

I hope my remarks don’t offend any men out there, but if you are here, they probably won’t. In any case, my remarks aren’t meant to offend, but to inspire.

A double “X” chromosome makes a person a FEMALE but does not guarantee that she will be a WOMAN.

FEMALES have been historically involved in geo-politics for decades; FEMALES like Golda Meier, Margaret Thatcher, Condileeza Rice, Tzipi Livni and Hillary Clinton are perfect examples of FEMALES that believe to play on the male dominated patriarchal world stage they have to act like MALES and suppress their double “X’s.”

For our species to survive, WOMEN, true WOMEN with compassion, hearts of love and the intellect of the communal history of our courageous fore-mothers, must take over this planet

FEMALES buy into the patriotic crap that geo-political strategies must include belligerence and the threat of force to solve problems, or more likely, to reinforce the military paradigm of murder for profit.

On the other hand, WOMEN know that problems are only magnified by violence. Violence does not end violence. Condi Rice and Hill Clinton, who were both tasked to be the country’s top diplomats are FEMALE war mongers who could just as easily fit into the War Department mold---as the State Department has become little more than an adjunct to the War Department now, anyway.

WOMEN know that other WOMEN and children are the ones that pay the ultimate price for war. FEMALES participate in sending other women’s children to war to kill even more children.

FEMALES protect their own children, if they even have them, but WOMEN protect all children and do not think bombing other WOMEN’S children is right, and is in fact, morally repugnant.

Like I said earlier, we WOMEN must take over this world, if we don’t, even our Mother Earth will become inhospitable to our kind.

How do we do this?

We step outside of patriarchal systems and reclaim our power!

One FEMALE wrote to me very early on in my campaign against ultra-FEMALE, Nancy Pelosi, and she said that I was not qualified to be in Congress because I, a) didn’t own a car; b) didn’t have a job and c) horrors of horrors, I didn’t even have a husband!

Cars, jobs and even (or maybe, especially) husbands come and go and this planet will last forever with or without humans, but the patriarchs can never kill unconditional love.

Unconditional love and respect for all earth’s creatures is the power of WOMAN! WOMEN from Gaza to Kabul to Baghdad to Tehran to Juarez to Oaxaca back up to DC and L.A. know this.

WOMEN do not need UN charters or resolutions to tell us that the “recognition of human dignity of all persons is the foundation for justice and peace,” we know this intuitively whether we nurse a single child at our breasts, teach a classroom filled with young faces, or lead nations responsible for maintaining peace with justice.

Capitalism is the problem and the solution is not to try to reinforce capitalism but to mold an entirely new society based on needs, not robbery. To get through these tough times, we must rely on each other and not our governments.

This cancerous behemoth known as the US Empire must be reduced to smaller community unites with a mentality and governance that fosters sharing, education, local economies, physical and environmental health, and above all, peace!

As the patriarchal governmental societies lose even more credibility, and thankfully, power, this will be the time when we WOMEN will be the beacons of light towards which humans will cluster and the seemingly bottomless pit of macho callousness and stupidity of both MALES and FEMALES alike will begin to be filled with the rays of real HOPE.

This, mis hermanas y mis hermanos, is called REVOLUTION and it cannot happen soon enough for me.

Mis amigas y amigos:

Hasta la Victoria, siempre!

For What Noble Cause, Mr. Obama?

For What Noble Cause, Mr. Obama?
Cindy Sheehan
I am not opposed to all wars. I’m opposed to dumb wars.
Barack Obama: October 2002

For the record, I did not support Barack Obama for President of this country. Of course the above quote was from his famous “anti-war” speech, that was not an anti-war speech, but an anti-Iraq war speech and this is just a sound bite from a mostly nationalistic and pro-war speech.

I opposed Obama, though, because I actually listened to what he said about foreign policy when he was Candidate Obama. He never, ever said that he was going to withdraw all troops from Iraq and he always said that he was going to increase troop levels, not only in Afghanistan, but also in the military over-all. His budget increases military spending at a time when education, health care, wages and jobs are declining. Obama is a militarist-corporatist and haven’t we had enough of this kind of “leadership” in the past three decades?

Gaza is dumb. Afghanistan is dumb. Pakistan is dumb. Iran will be dumb, etc. Any use of violence in geo-political strategy or problem solving is DUMB! Remember, though, that Obama specifically called Iraq a “dumb war.” Then why is he extending the withdrawal time past even his too long original timetable? How many more of America’s sons and daughters and Iraqi civilians will die in this “dumb war?” My son died in that “dumb war” nearly five years ago and my heart re-breaks with every death; for lives cut short and other lives ruined everyday while the US prolongs the “dumb war” so the war profiteers can wring every last dollar and every drop of oil out of that unfortunate country.

Former President George Bush (I like saying that) was fond of saying that our troops were in Iraq for a “Noble Cause:” I even spent a lot of time in Crawford, TX and Washington, DC trying to ask George what that “Noble Cause” was. Now I want to ask the new Oval Office denizen this same question:

Mr. Obama: For what “Noble Cause” are you extending the occupation of Iraq?

For what “Noble Cause” are you compromising the life of even one more soldier? Over 4200 have died, when a single one was too many for this “dumb war.”

Mr. Obama, for what “Noble Cause” will you ruin the life of even one more mother: here or in Iraq. Are you willing to be the cause of such bottomless pain? What is this "Noble Cause" that insulates the Robber class from the agony, but pumps up their bank accounts?

Can you visit the bedside of one of our young people who has a limb, or limbs blown off and tell him/her why you felt compelled to continue that “dumb war,” and give that soldier a “Noble Cause” that will justify a life of physical handicap and mental horror?

How can you look to a future in America (and indeed, the world) where The Empire has collapsed on the heads of our children and grand children and know that you had a chance to reverse that disastrous path and voluntarily reduce The Empire, but you instead chose to continue the policies that guaranteed economic and environmental doom?

Mr. Obama, like George Bush, you cannot look me in the face and tell me that my son died for a “Noble Cause” in the “dumb war,” but I will look you right in your face and tell you that all wars are “dumb” and if you think that you can “win” a “smart war” in Afghanistan, then you are far dumber than you appear.

The Noble Cause is peace and a foreign policy that is free from murder and belligerence.

Mr. Obama, be the change that you promised us you were: bring our children home from Iraq AND Afghanistan.

CALLING ALL MOTHERS OR HUSBANDS OF MOTHERS...THE BULLSHIT HAS TO END!

Dear Friends,

This is something that the Raging Grannies have done in the past, but now is the time to step it up!

I am sick and tired of the wars and watching our children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends or even strangers march off to wars that only benefit the Robber-Class...I am sick and more than tired of watching OUR CHILDREN kill and/or oppress other people. I am sick of OUR CHILDREN being injured (mentally, emotionally or physically) for the US war machine.

Sri Lanka, Iran, Venezuela, Mexico, North Korea, and many countries in Africa are in danger of being "saved" by the US military and with this economy, more of OUR CHILDREN are joining the military...it MUST BE STOPPED!

My proposal is that we pick a day somewhere in the VERY NEAR FUTURE to have co-ordinated efforts around the country for WE PARENTS...but especially MOTHERS AND GRANDMOTHERS to go into recruiting stations to try and enlist in the US military.

I think if we get high-profile people who are on this list to participate...it will call big attention to the problems.

Let me know what you think...please share with other people who may be interested and we will have a conference call next week

Cindy
