Transitions, Peaceful and Otherwise by Cindy Sheehan

Dede's Final Christmas

Four years ago, today, my oldest granddaughter and I sat together in a rocker-recliner with tears in our eyes, watching images from the Women's March in WashedUp, DeCeit, the day after Donald Trump had been inaugurated. (As far as I know, there was no Women's March today, or any online opposition to the sexual predator that was sworn in yesterday).

We weren't crying because Trump was peacefully sworn in the day before, we were devastated because my sister Dede Miller had died in the same room we were in at about 2:30 am earlier that morning.

One of the reasons I have put my health as my number one priority since Dede died, is because her transition was NOT peaceful in the very least. After over 18-months of invasive and counter-productive cancer treatments from the Cancer Industrial Complex, her poor body was ravaged by those treatments and the rapid spread of her breast-cancer to many other parts of her body. In hospice at the end, we could only relieve her pain, but she ironically died a very horrible and painful death. Four years have passed and I still have PTSD from her final hours.

Our only consolation is that Dede is now at rest, but after another "peaceful" transition of power here in the US, I think that all we the people of the world have to look forward to with a Biden regime is more war, internationally, and more police state repression, domestically.

I am not going to go into reciting a litany of the "accomplishments" of Biden's long history in the corrupt and violent government of the USA, nor will I detail the sordid feats of Harris as top cop for SF, California, and then Senator, because Biden's supporters will only tell me to "give him a chance," and those who know both parties are evil, don't need the list. I am sure if we could travel and organize together, the antiwar movement will find no shortage of actions to protest in the next four years.

During the funeral yesterday (oops, I meant "inauguration,") there were 200k flags on display--my mind goes to "wow, one flag for every five lives taken in Iraq." You remember that war, the one that killed my son, and over one million Iraqi and other US troops? The war that Joe Biden enthusiastically supported?

As an historian and political commentator, I have no optimism for the future of the world under Biden/Harris and I wish Dede were here to lean on during this "Dark Winter." It was very hard to lose my sister, best-friend, and comrade all in the same day. However, it was not hard to "lose" Trump, but it also was not easy to see two more stooges for Capitalism and Imperialism take his place.

May I be proven wrong and may a long era of peace, tranquility and prosperity reign over us. I have a bad feeling about this, though.

Soapbox Newsletter Jan 18, 2021: MLK, Jr and Social Media Censorship

Cindy Sheehan Banned from Facebook for 30 days!

Dear Friend,

On April 04 1967, (exactly a year to the day before he was assassinated in Memphis, Tn) Martin Luther King, Jr gave an explosive speech at the Riverside Church called: Beyond Vietnam-A Time to Break the Silence. Besides saying that the problems in the US (1967 was also a very tumultuous time, in recent memory and history) could be traced to the "triple evils" of "racism, militarism, and poverty," he made the statement about the USA being the "greatest purveyor of violence in the world today."

Unfortunately, with all of his sacrifice, and the sacrifice of the millions of people throughout our history that have marched for peace, equality, and against state-sanctioned violence in all forms, we find ourselves in a bigger pickle than ever today in 2021 as we commemorate the birth of who most people in the USA only think of as someone who was a Civil Rigths leader, but as his Riverside Church speech in 1967 showed, he was becoming so much more.

Now, it seems social media is starting to ban voices from the right and the left and only allowing mild-stream, middle voices that agree with the established establisment narrative to use those voices. Social media, especially Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, has become and echo chamber of centrist garbage.

Every since I have been on Facebook, I have gotten banned for some post, or another, but this past year, since I have questioned the mainstream views on the lockdowns and the growing police state, my bans are getting more frequent and longer. And I am critical from the left, not the right, so don't paint me as a "Trumpster," as is often the case: I am the same antiwar, anti-Capitalist person I was 11-months ago, except this time, my circle is growing smaller with all the travel restrictions, quarantines and governor dikats. However, I have thousands of followers on Facebook, which has become our primary way of keeping in touch with each other.

If you are on Social Media (I know many of you are not), I have opened a MeWe account until I can find somewhere more suitable for my non-mainstream views on everything from Imperialism to Medical Fascism.

Please follow me on MeWe at this LINK, if you choose.

Love, peace, and solidarity,
Cindy

Fit and Informed for the Struggle with Lisa Davis (SOAPBOX PODCAST DECEMBER 21, 2020)

December 21, 2020

GUEST: Lisa Davis

TOPIC: Covid Vaccine

Promoting Healthy Immune Systems

Community Health vs. the Death Care System

****************************

Lisa Davis

Lisa Davis is a long time NJ community activist, the vice-chair of the Black is Back Coalition (BIBC) and chair of its Healthcare Working Group, which is tasked with the  mission of establishing an advocacy network of revolutionary people within the Black community who are involved in healthcare, be it naturopathic or allopathic,  and who are committed to challenging the paradigm of this current racist, for profit, medical system.    After learning at a very young age the important role that nutrition plays in our health and emotional well being, she has been on a 30 year journey that leads her back to the power of African ancestral medicines and the true, definition of “Science.”   Science in the ancient African tradition involves the study of the boundless energy of the earth and the synergistic relationship that exists between humans, the earth, plant life and other life forms.   Unfortunately today,  it is the colonizer’s view of science, which is steeped in racism, violence, biochemical warfare and profit that governs most of our world view.  And whereas she commends the Black Liberation Struggle for being on the forefront of fighting against the abuses of a racist judicial and law enforcement society, she is adamant that we must become equally as vocal about the devastating manifestations of colonialism and structural racism in today’s concept of medical science.

www.cdc.gov

As of December 18th, out of 112,000 vaccines that have been administered, there have been six cases of anaphylaxis reactions!    Anaphylaxis reactions are a very severe and potentially deadly allergic reaction.    Please look at pages 4, 6 and 7 from the report.    Page 6 of the report states that there have been over 3,000 case of people experiencing health events after the 1st dosage where they were either unable to continue with daily activities, unable to work, or required the care of a doctor/medical professional.    And that is just with the first dose of the vaccine.   I hear that with the trials the reactions from the second dose was much stronger.

Ending U.S Wars by Honoring Americans Who Work for Peace (SOAPBOX PODCAST DECEMBER 11, 2020)

December 11, 2020

 TOPIC: MAKING PEACE NORMAL

GUEST: MICHAEL KNOX

In this new book, Dr. Michael D. Knox, founder of the US Peace Memorial Foundation and Distinguished University Professor, says it’s time for Americans who work for Peace to be honored as national heroes. From war epics that portray American soldiers as unfailingly noble, to public monuments that glorify war-makers, to a national education curriculum that rarely asks students to debate the value of war, the U.S. is a nation that venerates its warriors above all others.

The U.S. has bombed thirty countries since the end of World War II, killing millions of people, maiming tens of millions more, disrupting and destroying education, healthcare, housing, businesses, infrastructure, the environment, and creating untold numbers of refugees. Knox, who practiced clinical psychology for over 40 years, describes a behavioral approach to ending U.S. war. The book also documents the actions of hundreds of role models for peace in hopes of inspiring other Americans.

ENDING U.S. WARS by Honoring Americans Who Work for Peace aims to change the U.S. culture to one that celebrates its peacemakers. “In a culture that funds and esteems war-making, respect for peacemaking must be taught and modeled. We can change our cultural mindset so that it will no longer be acceptable to label those who speak out against a U.S. war as disloyal, anti-military, or unpatriotic. Rather,” says Knox, “they will be recognized for their dedication to a noble cause and to saving lives.”

Chapters include A CULTURE OF WAR, A CULTURE OF PEACE, and:

THE US PEACE PRIZE. Recipients of the US Peace Prize since 2009 include Chelsea Manning, Medea Benjamin, Noam Chomsky, Ajamu Baraka, Dennis Kucinich, and Cindy Sheehan. In 2020 the US Peace Prize went to Christine Ahn “for bold activism to end the Korean War, heal its wounds, and promote women’s roles in building peace.” Detailed profiles of all 12 recipients are included.

THE US PEACE REGISTRY. A collection of 270 American individuals and organizations who work for peace, demonstrating a broad range of peace and antiwar actions and activities. The Registry appears for the first time in print.

THE US PEACE MEMORIAL. The Foundation’s most ambitious goal is to establish a monument on the National Mall. ENDING U.S. WARS offers a sneak peek at this exciting project. Plans include an inspiring and creative design that features a peace sign that can only be seen aerially and aims to serve as a reminder to government officials who fly over the Mall. As the US Peace Memorial is currently envisioned, twelve walls, or facets, will contain engraved peace quotes from famous Americans such as Jane Addams, Muhammad Ali, Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, Ernest Hemingway, Helen Keller, Martin Luther King Jr., and Margaret Mead, and a variety of U.S. presidents who are not widely known for their antiwar statements. Until it is built, this book is the US Peace Memorial.

READ an EXCERPT

“Many years ago, Michael Knox saw a need in this violent empire of the USA for a memorial to peace workers in a country where war is glorified and recklessly memorialized. I was honored to be the first recipient of the US Peace Prize and do highly recommend this book as a furtherance of Michael’s quest for peace. I hope it inspires the next generation of peace workers.”—Cindy Sheehan, mother of Casey Austin Sheehan, KIA Iraq: 04/04/04.

W is for War Criminal: The Irredeemable Legacy of George W. Bush by Cindy Sheehan

 W is for War Criminal:
The Irredeemable Legacy of George W. Bush

“Be Kind”

“I’m friends with George Bush. In fact, I’m friends with a lot of people who don’t share the same beliefs that I have. Just because I don’t agree with someone on everything doesn’t mean that I’m not going to be friends with them. When I say, ‘Be kind to one another,’ I don’t mean only the people that think the same way that you do. I mean, ‘Be kind to everyone, it doesn’t matter.’”
Ellen Degeneres after her fan base went understandably wild because she was sharing an extremely friendly moment with the War Criminal George W. Bush at a Dallas Cowboys’ game in 2019.

Comedian/talk show host Ellen is not the first liberal to cozy up the the repulsive War Criminal, George W. In fact, First Lady Michelle Obama was one of the first nouveau-celebres to make it “cool” to love George—and, why not? She sleeps with a War Criminal every night, I presume. But, if Lady M loves someone, then much of the Obama base start to forget the murderous/callous/disastrous regime of George.
